Women in National Security Networking

Date: 18 October 2023
Time: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Location: Muse Kingston,
69 Canberra Ave, Griffith ACT 2603

ASPI’s Women in Defence and Security Network (WDSN) is pleased to invite you to our next networking event.

Hosted in Canberra, this event is a regular feature on ASPI WDSN’s calendar of events. It provides relaxed networking opportunities for women working in defence, national security and foreign policy at all levels of government, industry and academia.

This informal reception will be hosted at Muse Kingston and will feature a short keynote address from Major General Cheryl Pearce AM, CSC, Deputy Chief of Army. Following the keynote, attendees will be invited to continue the conversation over drinks and canapes.

Participation in the network is broad and includes university students interested in pursuing a career in the sector, early to mid-career professionals already working in such fields throughout government, industry and civil society and senior professionals who are looking to support the next generation of women emerging in the defence, national security and foreign policy community.

The WDSN is committed to supporting women seeking to build their networks in the defence, foreign policy and national security community, and is focused on developing – and retaining – a diverse pipeline of talent in national security. This is achieved through a whole of national security community approach and we welcome and encourage all interested individuals to attend, participate and lead on these important issues.
