Jason Van der Schyff

Jason Van der Schyff is a Fellow with ASPI’s Cyber, Technology & Security program. His research focuses on sovereign industrial capability, secure hardware, and the resilience of critical technology supply chains. He has written for The Strategist on hardware-based surveillance risks, zero trust architecture, and the role of post-quantum cryptography in national security planning.

Jason has worked extensively across the technology and advanced manufacturing sectors, with a background spanning executive roles in secure infrastructure, communications, and defence-adjacent industry. He has advised on industrial development strategies, including contributions to sovereign supply chain programs and critical infrastructure risk frameworks.

Jason is particularly engaged in the implementation of AUKUS Pillar II, with a focus on trusted computing, secure manufacturing, and allied technology cooperation across the Indo-Pacific.
